Fundraising Exhibition & Auction catalogue

Kettle's Yard approached Langham Press to produce the catalogue for Artists for Kettle's Yard, a fundraising exhibition and auction held in Spring 2026.
Working alongside the gallery and its appointed design agency, the project called for a catalogue that reflected the quality of the artwork while remaining practical to produce within an agreed schedule and budget. As a Cambridge commercial printer, these collaborative projects are a chance to combine careful planning with high-quality print production.

The Brief
The catalogue needed to feel considered from the moment it was picked up.
Paper choice, print quality and finishing all had to complement the exhibition while remaining commercially practical to produce. Alongside the creative vision, there was also a clear production schedule to meet, with artwork, proofing and print all carefully coordinated.
Working Together
Following an initial meeting at Kettle's Yard, we prepared a selection of paper samples and advised on trim sizes and pagination to make the best use of the chosen print process.
Working closely with both Kettle's Yard and the design agency meant ideas could be explored early, samples could be reviewed together and decisions made with confidence before production began.
As the catalogue developed, we produced printed proofs on a range of paper stocks, allowing everyone involved to assess colour reproduction, finish and overall feel before committing to the final specification.
Throughout the project, our focus remained the same: helping deliver the best possible result while keeping to the agreed budget and production timetable.

Bringing the Catalogue to Print
Although the finished catalogue has a simple, understated appearance, there was plenty happening behind the scenes.
From sourcing additional paper options through to producing multiple printed proofs, each stage was carefully managed to ensure the finished publication met both the creative vision and practical requirements of the project.
As production approached, the team also accommodated a last-minute quantity change without affecting the delivery schedule, ensuring the catalogues were ready in time for the exhibition.

The Outcome
The finished catalogue is a beautifully produced publication that reflects both the artists featured in the exhibition and the distinctive character of Kettle's Yard.
Delivered on schedule, it became an important part of the wider fundraising exhibition and auction, supporting visitors both during the event and beyond.
