Langham Press is FSC® Chain of Custody certified, enabling us to supply FSC®-certified printed products. Look for our FSC®-certified products. FSC®-certified print is available on request. Please specify that you require FSC®-certified print when requesting a quotation or placing your order.

We are registered with two schemes, one that creates native woodland in the UK and the other protects threatened habitats worldwide.

Our entire facility and plant is powered by 100% renewable energy.
Zero waste to landfill
All paper, ink, chemicals, metal plates, plastics and metal and general waste are recycled, with zero waste going to landfill.

Recycled Stocks
Using recycled paper helps reduce the demand for virgin wood fibre, conserving natural resources and supporting a more circular approach to paper production. Recycled stocks provide excellent quality and performance for a wide range of printed products.
FSC® certified paper
FSC® certified papers offer excellent print quality without compromising on environmental credentials. Available in a wide range of finishes, weights and textures, they provide excellent colour reproduction, sharp detail and consistent results, making them suitable for everyday commercial print. Where an FSC®-certified finished product is required, please specify FSC certification when requesting your quotation or placing your order.

Vegetable based inks
What are they and why do they matter.
Our litho inks are formulated using renewably sourced vegetable-based oils, such as soya or linseed oil, to replace traditional mineral-based ingredients, helping to reduce reliance on fossil-derived materials while delivering excellent colour and print quality.
Our Konica Minolta Simitri toner incorporates biomass-derived materials into its formulation, reducing the use of petroleum-based resources while maintaining the high-quality, consistent results required for digital printing.

Yes. recycled papers can deliver print quality comparable to virgin-fibre papers, particularly high-quality coated and uncoated recycled grades. They can provide excellent colour reproduction, sharp detail and good ink or toner performance for both lithographic and digital printing.
FSC® certified paper indicates that the paper has been sourced from forests that are managed in an environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable way. Langham Press is FSC® Chain of Custody certified enabling us to offer FSC® certified printed products using responsibly sourced materials.
Carbon balanced paper directly reduces the environmental impact of printing operations by offsetting the carbon emissions associated with paper production. At Langham Press we carbon-balance paper validated by The World Land Trust and The Woodland Trust.
Yes. customers can use both FSC® certified print and Carbon Balanced paper as supporting evidence in their own ESG and sustainability reporting, provided the claims accurately reflect what they purchased. We can help you through that process.
The best choice depends mainly on the print run and specification. For short runs, digital printing has the advantage because it requires no printing plates and very little waste and for longer runs, litho printing is more efficient because initial setup impacts are spread across many more copies.

- Right sizing the run. Over-ordering is one of the most common forms of print wastage we see.
- Right sizing the paper stock. Heavier doesn’t always mean better. If a lighter-weight paper will do the job just as well, we’ll say so.
- Choosing the right method. Digital and litho each have their strengths. We’ll look at the option that makes the most sense.
- Designing for less waste. Small changes to the format of a job can significantly reduce the amount of paper trimmed off for recycling. If we can see a more efficient way to size your artwork, we’ll tell you.
